Our Live Online Bootcamps and In House Trainings offer parents, advocates, special education staff and administrators a greater in-depth knowledge about the rights and issues surrounding students in need of special education services. IEP Solution’s Live Bootcamps and In House Training are designed to remove confusion, enhance understanding of the rules surrounding the IEP process, and remove pitfalls that often lead to costly disputes. All of this is provided in the convenience of your own home, school or office.

IEP Solution Bootcamps

IEP Solution offers 1-Day and 2-Day Live Online Bootcamps that will provide parents, advocates, special education staff and administrators with a more thorough understanding of special education rights and responsibilities, including how to avoid and resolve special education disputes.

One Day Live Online Bootcamp 

  • Learn the differences between the Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA) and Section 504 and how they impact a child’s education

  • How to start the special education process in order to obtain an IEP for the child

  • Tips for advocating for the child, including record keeping, letter writing, and organizing the child’s records

  • Learn the IEP Eligibility Categories and explore the Child Find obligation

  • Understand how the Assessment process plays a critical role in developing the IEP as well as the Parent right to an IEE

  • Review Parental participation in the IEP process and other procedural requirements

  • Preparing for the IEP team meeting

  • Review the legal standard Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) and how it drives the IEP process

  • Create the necessary components of an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) including present levels of performance, measurable goal writing, services and placement

  • Evaluate the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) standard and how it relates to a child’s placement

  • Learn how to address the child’s behavior in the special education setting

  • Discipline in the special education setting: Manifestation determination proceedings and the interim alternative setting

  • Remedies under special education laws

  • Learn how to avoid the most common pitfalls in the IEP process and how to minimize and resolve disputes

A “Certificate of Completion” will be given to all Bootcamp participants, attesting to an advanced level of training in special education advocacy and compliance.

Two Day Live Online Bootcamp 

  • Learn the differences between the Individuals with Disabilities in Education ACT (IDEA) and Section 504 and how they impact a child’s education

  • Special education eligibility categories and the child find obligation

  • Definition of assessments, including standardized tests, student study teams, drafting initial requests for assessment for eligibility, assessment areas and methodologies, consent, and timelines

  • The Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE)- How it can help “level the playing field”

  • Parent participation and rights, and consent

  • Review the legal standard Free, Appropriate, Public Education (FAPE) and how it drives the IEP process

  • Preparation for the IEP and organizing the child’s educational file

  • The IEP team roles and responsibilities

  • Components of the IEP including present levels, goals services and placement

  • Placement in the least restrictive environment (LRE)

  • Related services, Special factors, accommodations, and modifications

  • How to address a child’s behavior including functional analysis assessments and FBAs.

  • Discipline in the special education setting: Manifestation determination proceedings and the interim alternative setting

  • Remedies under special education laws.

  • Learn how to avoid the most common pitfalls in the IEP process and how to minimize and resolve disputes
  • Live Question/ Answer session

IEP Solution In House Trainings

IEP Solution offers group In House Training for agencies, parent and disability support groups, educators, administrators, public schools, private schools, clinics, and professional staff, such as OTs, S&Ls, ABA groups and more. These programs are customized to meet the specific needs of the group and can be presented in person or through on-line interaction.

Yes. Your child’s education is of utmost importance, so it’s imperative that you learn about the IEP process that will guide and control your child’s education. This is true whether you are new to the IEP process, or a veteran participant who simply wants to learn more about how to become a better advocate for their child.

 

Do you have any shorter Bootcamps?

How often will you have your Bootcamps?
